Budgero v1.20.7 — much faster imports, a real "go back" in Earlier versions, Firefox saving fix

Much faster large imports and syncing, a real "go back" in Earlier versions, reliable saving in Firefox, and a fix for the cut-off planning panel.

Improved

  • Large imports are much faster. A 20,000-row CSV import now takes about a minute instead of more than 20 minutes, and no longer slows down as the account grows. It also sends far less data to the server.
  • Faster catching up. A device catching up on many changes (after an import on another device or a restore) applies them about ten times faster.
  • Budget settings for shared workspaces. Members of a shared workspace can now change budget settings. Creating and deleting budgets stays with the owner.

New

  • Go back to an earlier version. Settings → Earlier versions now lets you choose: go back to a copy and discard everything changed after it, imports included, or restore it and keep the later changes as before.

Fixed

  • Saving in Firefox. In Firefox, two saves of your local budget at the same moment could fail (older Firefox) or leave an older copy on disk (current Firefox). Saves now happen one at a time.
  • Planning side panel cut off. With longer translations, such as the German repeating-goal label, the side panel on Planning was cut off on the right and the goal edit button was hidden.
  • Duplicate categories after onboarding. Another case where a copy of a new workspace could be saved too early, which created the starter categories twice, is fixed.
  • Small fixes. Creating a budget no longer fails when you don't pick an icon, and the cleared shortcut (C) no longer errors on some browser autofill events.
